Man arrested after attack outside club

A 33-year-old Warrington man has been charged with two offences of grievous bodily harm following an attack on a 55-year-old man in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The arrest follows an alleged assault on the 55-year-old, from Northwich, outside Maddison’s nightclub, High Street, Northwich.
The 33-year-old, who was originally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, was appearing before magistrates this afternoon
A 31-year-old Warrington woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Two other people, a 41-year-old from the Northwich area and a 46-year-old, who were arrested shortly after the incident have been released on police bail.
