Planning approval
PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have approved a retrospective application for a conservatory at the rear of a barn conversion at Grange Green Manor, Mill Lane, Higher Walton. An objection had been received from Walton Parish Council.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 6, 9 and 13. One winner – a hospital visitor – claimed the £661 jackpot prize and a consolation prize of £25 was won by a member of hospital staff.

Residents’ meeting
WARRINGTON Town Centre Residents’ Association is holding a meeting at the Gateway, Sankey Street on Monday at 7pm. All town centre residents are invited.

Nearly new
ST Michael’s Church, Burtonwood has opened a “nearly new” shop which is open every Thursday between 10am and 1pm. The church is pleased to receive good quality clothes to sell in aid of church funds.

Early birds
BIRD lovers are being invited on a 6am walk at Risley Moss on Saturday, May 2 to see migrant birds arriving at the reserve. Places are limited so booking is necessary on 01925 824339.
