Trio sign new deals

A Trio of Warrington Wolves players have agreed new contract extensions.
Kiwi Louis Anderson has agreed a two-year extension to his contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2011, with Paul Wood and Chris Hicks also agreeing one-year extensions.
Head of Coaching and Rugby, Tony Smith, said: “I am delighted with each of the boys who have extended their contracts. It shows the faith they have in the club and its future. Each of the players deserves to be here with their solid performances and support of club. I look forward to working alongside them in the future.”
Louis joined the Wolves back row last season in a move which Wolves owner Simon Moran described as a “real coup for the club and Super League as a competition”.
Capped by the Kiwis whilst he was still a teenager in the 2004 Tri Nations, Louis is widely experienced despite his relative youth and brings a robust and assured presence to the Wolves left second row position.
Paul is a product of the Wolves Academy system and joined the club in 1999 from Ince St Williams ARLFC. A dynamic front-rower who has circled on the verge of international selection for a while, he is a highly mobile prop who hits above his weight in the collision and has a quick-play-the-ball, Wood is a fiercely tough competitor in the middle of the field, who is known for his ability to stand up when things are going against the team.
Chris made an explosive start to his Warrington career in 2008, scoring 10 tries in his first 7 Super League games and, after establishing himself early in the season as the club’s first choice goal-kicker, he achieved the feat of appearing and scoring points in every one of the club’s 28 Super League fixtures.
He was also the club’s top tackle buster in 2008, and was named the Supporters Trust Player of the Season at the end of year awards.
He is competing well in the top try and goal scorers league this season, with 7 tries and 28 goals already to his name.
