Mystery of the missing rope!

HELP is needed to solve the mystery of a missing rope in Culcheth.
Organisers of Culcheth Community Day on Monday May 4 are introducing new attractions this year – including a tug of war competition between teams from pubs in Culcheth and Glazebury.
But parish councillors have discovered the rope they had hoped to use has gone missing.
It was last used at an event in Croft in September, after which someone took it away for safe keeping. Unfortunately nobody can remember who took it or where it is.
Anyone who can help locate it should contact Coun Peter Caswell on 01942 671938.
Alternatively anyone owning an official tug of war rope is requested to get in touch. It should be made of jute or sisal, rather than a plastic fibre which can cause burns, with a diameter over 30mm and length of more than 20 metres.
Community Day will be held from 12.00 noon until 4.30pm on Culcheth Village Green.
