WARRINGTON singing hopeful Lucie Evans is currently running third in a £100,000 internet competition – but she needs every vote she can get before 7pm tomorrow (Friday) to go through to the finals. That’s when voting ends in the audition stage of the competition on the website 1click2fame.com.
After that, the top 20 from each section go through to the finals when there will be another eight days of voting for a place in the final 10.
Then there will be three days of voting to find the winner, to be announced on April 1.
Lucie, 15, a pupil at Birchwood High School, already has considerable success behind her.
Last year she won the Warrington’s Got Talent contest at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and later sang at a song-writing competition in London in front of music industry people and Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees.
She now has a manager who is pushing her towards a record deal and has also been to Norway to work with a songwriting and production company to record some original tracks for her demo cd.
Should Lucie win internet competition, the money would give her the chance of going to America to work with Marshall Altman, a top producer who works with artists such as Katie Perry and also gain more publicity.
