A WARRINGTON college has introduced a new award – for its “superstars.”
Four students at Priestley College have become the first to be recognised for their exemplary efforts in the classroom.
Alexandra Ardern, Beverley Horn, Jenny Illidge and Louis Tollet were the winners after a poll among tutors across their entire curriculum. The four have completed their work to the highest standard.
The scheme is to inspire students to excel and the awards will take place once every half term.
Winning students were presented with book vouchers and cinema tickets by the principal Mike Southworth.
He said: “It was my pleasure to reward this quartet of students for their efforts since joining us back in September.
“We take great pride in offering outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for our young people and we are always delighted to reward those with an exemplary attitude and commitment to their studies.”
