Probus seeks new members

CULCHETH Probus Club – the organisation for retired professional or business men – is looking for new members.
The club meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the morning at Culcheth Sports and Social Club in Charnock months.
Interesting talks are given by visiting speakers or members and the club also organises social outings and visits.
In May and June, talks are planned entitled “Schoolhouses in the Clouds – Edmund Hilary’s idea to teach Sherpa children” and “The rehabilitation of Orangutan and bears in East Borneo.”
Potential members are invited to attend as visitors to see for themselves before joining. Details are available on 01925 762438.
