Call ICE in
emergency
PEOPLE in Stockton Heath are being urged to take part in a potentially life-saving initiative.
Coun Graham Roughsedge told the parish council that the Ambulance Service was encouraging people to put an “ICE” contact in their mobile phone.
The letters stand for In Case of Emergency, and it is a key contact that can be contacted if the mobile phone user is being treated by the service.
“I think it is an excellent idea and is a good way of contacting next of kin in an emergency,” he said.

Litter pickers
THIRTEEN volunteers turned out for the first of this year’s monthly litter picks organised by Lymm Churches Together. They spent an hour removing litter from various parts of the village. Future litter picks will take place on the first Sunday of each month up to and including November. Anyone who wants to help should call Brian Turner on 01925 753059.

Pothole survey
A SURVEY of potholes, damaged kerbs and poor quality street signs is to be carried out by Stockton Heath Parish Council.
Coun Graham Roughsedge told members that it was some time since a ward check was carried out.
He asked all members to walk their wards and check the state of repair of roads, footpaths, kerbs, road signs, etc.
Members will report back to the next meeting and any faults discovered will be reported to the borough council.

WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 4, 6 and 7 – and one winner scooped the £202 jackpot prize. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a hospital visitor.
