BUDDING film-makers from a Warrington school are having a red-carpet premiere in Manchester for their latest work.
The comedy film, “Louie,” produced by Penketh High School will be premiered on March 19 at the Printworks Odeon in Manchester. More than 600 people will attend the premiere and it will raise money for the Variety Club children’s charity.
Penketh High claims the film is the world’s first ever high school produced, international full-length feature film. It runs for 99 minutes and has some scenes shot in France.
It is expected to be a major event for the school. When its last film, “days,” was premiered in 2007, it received extensive television and press coverage.
Production of the film has given more than 300 pupils the chance to develop skills both in front of and behind the camera.
Following the premier, the film will go on general release in selected Odeon cinemas.
It will be at the Warrington Odeon, Westbrook from March 20-26
