Parish windfalls
TWO neighbouring parish councils have received cash windfalls as a result of Warrington Borough Council deciding not to charge them for the cost of last May’s elections. Appleton Parish Council is £5,000 better off and Stockton Heath Parish Council is £2,970 better off. Both councils had budgeted to pay out the money following the elections.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 11, 13 and 16. There were no winners so the jackpot prize is rolled over to next week. A consolation prize of £25 was paid out to a member of hospital staff.

Library closure
STOCKTON Heath library will close on February 24 for redecoration. It will reopen on Thursday, March 12.
