A 35-year-old woman was assaulted at a local beauty spot
early today.
The attack took place near to Ackers Pit, in Ackers Lane,
Stockton Heath, Warrington.
Police have sealed off the area and detectives are carrying
out an investigation.
The incident took place just before 1.15am.
A police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are still ongoing by detectives in relation
to the matter and the scene of the incident remains under guard. The woman’s injuries are not believed to be serious.”
