CULCHETH High School is claiming a “first” for Cheshire – the first school in the county to hold a “swishing” event.
Swishing is the new craze – the “posh” word for swapping.
Celebrities galore are at it, according to the school.
A school spokeswoman said: “All you have to do to join in, bring as many posh frocks or such like, handbags, shoes and hats, all in perfect condition and clean, and hand them in to receive an exchange token ready for the Swish.”
The school claims to be the first in Cheshire to hold a swishing event and are promoting it as a way to beat the credit crunch.
The event takes place on March 19 at Culcheth High School. Further details from 01925 762136. The “swish” starts at 7.00pm
