A MAN has been robbed by a gang who confronted him when he arrived at his home in Warrington.
The thugs got away with cash, jewellery, credit cards and a Rolex watch – but failed in a bid to steal the man’s car.
They forced the victim to hand over his car keys but could not start the car.
The drama started at about 6.20pm when the 39-year-old man arrived at his home in Culcheth.
He parked his BMW car on the drive and was about to enter the house when he was confronted by four or five men dressed in dark clothing, with scarves over their faces and wearing gloves.
They threatened the man and forced him to hand over his keys, entering the houses and stealing numerous items of property.
But they could not start the BMW and eventually left in the car they had arrived in – a grey Audi.
Police are appealing for anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact them by calling 0845 458 0000 or the anonymous Crimestoppers Line 0800 555 111.
