Celebrating success stories

A FUN event to celebrate the success of the National Year of Reading will be held at Padgate Library.
Over the last 12 months, a series of events, competitions and challenges took place in Warrington’s libraries and this event on Friday will

celebrate all the achievements.
The Warrington “Winner of Winners” will be announced – a competition in which library users across the borough have voted for their favourite book from a shortlist of 45 award-winners.
Also, the winners of a “text me a story” competition, where readers were asked to text in an original, future-themed tale of less than 160 characters, will be announced.
The big draw of the night will be the return of “that poetry bloke” Craig Bradley, who will be hosting a family quiz, with prizes for children dressed up as book characters.
Craig last visited Warrington in August as part of his Big Rhyme Rumble Tour and delighted young and old alike with his passion and infectious enthusiasm for words.
There will also be a bargain book sale and tea, coffee and cake will also be available.
The event, between 7pm and 9pm, is free but places are limited so booking is necessary on 01925 818096. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
