Car destroyed by fire

POLICE at Warrington are investigating after a car was completely destroyed by vandals during the night.
The car was parked at the rear of the Hawthorn public house in Orford Lane, Warrington.
It was badly damaged – and then set alight and completely burned out.
Fire crews raced to the scene but were unable to save the vehicle. A spokesman said the fire had been deliberately started.
But there was no threat to nearby property.
