Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 7, 11 and 13. There were no takers, which means the jackpot prize will again be rolled over to next week. A consolation prize of £25 was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Cash machine
THE new Co-op store in Dudlow Green Road, Appleton, Warrington, is seeking planning consent for a 24-hour cash machine outside the shop.

Swimathon.
SWIMMERS are being invited to sign up for a “Swimathon” at Woolston Leisure Centre to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The event takes place mid-April and those taking part can choose to swim five, two and-a-half or one and-a-half km. Details from Hannah Taylor on 07798 638 127.

Takeaway plan
PLANS for a new hot food takeaway shop in Martin Avenue, Orford have been submitted to Warrington planners. It would stay open until 11pm, six nights a week.

Tots library
SPECIAL library sessions for Under Fives have started at Burtonwood Library. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the Tuesday morning sessions at 10am.
