New moves in closed toilets row

A WORKING group set up to investigate the vexed issue of public toilets in Stockton Heath is to visit the closed toilets on the Forge Car Park.
The group, headed by parish councillor Stephen Taylor, will include a number of parish councillors and members of the public and the Rev Michael Ridley, vicar of St Thomas’ Church will be invited.
A representative of Appleton Parish Council will also be invited.
The toilets were closed by the borough council some time ago following claims of inappropriate behaviour.
But this has left the village without any public toilets and residents are demanding that either they are reopened or some other provision be made.
Coun Taylor said the working group aimed to look at the options for toilet facilities for residents in the village and make a recommendation to the parish council.
The borough council has agreed to unlock the toilets to enable the site visit to take place
