Woman robbed in park

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed of her handbag in a Warrington park.
The incident took place at about 7.15am yesterday (Tuesday) in Black Bear Park, close to Victoria Park, off Knutsford Road.
A woman was walking through the park towards Warrington when a man leapt out of nearby bushes and snatched her bag.
There was a brief struggle during which the woman fell to the ground, losing her grip on the bag. The attacker fled with the bag which contained cash and a mobile phone. He was last seen running in the direction of the Black Bear pub in Knutsford Road.
