Home extension plan refused

PLANNING bosses at Warrington have refused permission for a home extension – even though it has already been built.
Members of the borough’s development control committee went against the advice of their officers when they rejected the scheme at Grange Green Manor, Mill Lane, Higher Walton.
The householder will now have to appeal or dismantle the rear conservatory at his home.
The committee was told the property was part of a modern barn conversion.
Officers believed the extension preserved the character and appearance of the area and was not visible from the road as it was located at the rear. They recommended it for approval
But an objection was received from Walton Parish Council who believed the extension caused harm to the appearance of the existing building.
