Arson attack on house

POLICE are investigating an arson attack on a house at Warrington during the night.
The blaze involved the front door of a house in Gregory Close, Old Hall – and fire chiefs say it was almost certainly started deliberately.
Fire crews extinguished the fire and used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property.
The only damage was to the door itself.
But a Fire Service spokesman said the blaze could have been much more serious and condemned the “irresponsible act of vandalism.”
