Local Producers Market

1

THE first in a series of specialist markets taking place in a newly created event area inside Warrington Market takes place tomorrow (Saturday December 6).
Following the hugely successful Farmers Market in September the council has invited back many of the stallholders to take part in a special Christmas Local Producers Market.
All the stalls will be selling a range of local produce including game from Arley Estate, Ostrich, pickles, bread, cakes, beer, wine and not forgetting mulled wine with mince pies.
Also on offer will be a variety of gifts and crafts and of course a huge range of products available from all the permanent stalls in the market.
Family entertainment will be taking place throughout the day including Warrington Junior Brass Band, the Market’s Christmas Gorilla and friends, plus children can get to meet the big man himself, Father Christmas in his charity grotto run by local charity Warrington Disability Partnership.
Local author and television presenter Mark Olly, (pictured right) from Granada’s “Lost Treasures” will be in the market from 12 noon until 2pm signing copies of his books which are now on sale from the market information and gift shop, making ideal Christmas presents.
