FOUR new areas in Warrington town centre have been earmarked for proposed taxi ranks.
Warrington Borough Council is proposing an order for Hackney Carriage Stand Clearways. It means only licensed cabs will be able to park in the areas at any time.
Draft plans can be examined at the Legal Services Section, Quattro Building, New Town House, Buttermarket Street, Warrington, during normal office hours Monday to Friday. Objections should be lodged by December 18.
The areas affected are Sankey Street, stand located on the northern side of Sankey Street adjacent to the White Hart public house, and Sankey Street, the stand located on the southern side of Sankey Street between Legh Street and Bold Street, opposite the pub.
Also affected are St Austin’s Lane, stand located on the northern side of St Austin’s Lane adjacent to the Postern Gate public house. And Winwick Road, stand located on the eastern side of Winwick Road, adjacent to the Lord Rodney public house.
