Candlelight Service
WARRINGTON Bereaved Parents Group is holding a Candlelight Service at Warrington Parish Church on Monday, December 8 at 7.30pm for bereaved parents and friends. Parents can have the names of the children they have lost read out and entered in a book of remembrance and a candle will be lit in their memory.

Taxi base
PLANNING chiefs have given temporary permission for the siting of a portable building in Station Approach, Station Road, Great Sankey for use as a taxi base.

Hospital lottery
THE League of Friends of Warrington Hospital is awarding special £50 weekly lottery prizes in the run up to Christmas. The first winner was a member of hospital staff, as was the winner of the usual weekly £25 consolation prize. But the jackpot prize went unclaimed and was rolled over to next week. Winning numbers were 8, 9, 10 and 11.

Gymnasium plan
PLANS for the change of use of property at 53, Kingsway South, Warrington to a gymnasium and toning centre have been approved by borough planners.

Carol Service
A CAROL service is being held at Warrington Market on December 13 between 11am and 12 noon.
