Culcheth Victorian Day 2008

0

THE fog rolled across Culcheth Common giving an authentic atmosphere to

the village’s annual Victorian Day organised by Culcheth Lions.
Lions President Tony Lewis is pictured entering into the spirit of the occasion as he is collared by Pc Plod, alias Barry Collins from neighbouring Birchwood Lions who helped out at the annual event which helps raise funds for the annual old folks paty which takes place in January.
The Lions organise Victorian Day each year to help get the village in the mood for Christmas.
They are always on the look out for new members and anyone interested in joining the Lions can contact Tim Yates on 01925 762761.
Meanwhile Santa and his helpers were kept busy in Santa’s grotto at Culcheth Methodist Church.
