MP backs road safety campaign

A NATIONAL road safety campaign has been praised by Warrington North MP Helen Jones.
The “Stop. Imagine. Change.” campaign launched by the independent national road safety charity Brake, has gained her support.
Families whose lives have been shattered by severe crashes, have joined with Brake to plead with people across the UK to stop and imagine the shock waves caused in a community when someone dies or is severely maimed in a crash.
The campaign urges people to change their behaviour so they never cause such devastation to their own family or someone else’s.
The MP (pictured) said: “I fully support the Stop. Imagine. Change. campaign and urge everyone to take a good look at their behaviour on our roads. We should all take a moment to think about the reality of road death and injury.
“We should all think about our behaviour on the roads and how to improve it, whether that’s by slowing down, not overtaking, switching off our mobiles, belting up our children in child seats, or at this time year driving home having had a drink at a Christmas party.” Stop. Imagine. Change.”
