THE Conservatives have chosen a long-standing local councillor to contest the Warrington North constituency at the next General Election.
Paul Campbell (pictured) is a member of Culcheth Parish Council and was its chairman last year.
He will take on the formidable task of unseating Labour’s Helen Jones, who has held the seat since 1997 and had a majority of 12,204 at the last election.
But when she was first elected, 15 years ago, her majority was 19,527
