Spark from log burner starts fire

FIRE crews were called to a house when fire broke out in the living room.

The property was in Stetchworth Road, Walton, Warrington and was caused by sparks from wood burning in a log burner.

Fire crews from Stockton Heath and Warrington dealt with the outbreak using breathing apparatus and one hosereel and then clear smoke from the semi-detached house using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The property was fittred with smoke alarms which did activate. No-one was hurt.
