COMPLAINTS about crime, neighbourhood issues and policing can be put at a series of meetings being held in Warrington.
Police and Police Community Support Officers are urging residents to attend the next set of Community Action Meetings.
People can help plan the future of policing or raise concerns about their neighbourhood. Issues raised help decide the priorities for local officers.
PCSO Kath Harkin, of Warrington Central Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “This is your opportunity to let us know what concerns you in your neighbourhood.”
She said police want to tackle to issues that really affect the local community.
“We can only take steps to make things better for residents if they are prepared to talk to us,” she said.
“Highlighting any issues allows local officers to really get to grips with what is happening in the area and to find the best ways of dealing with any issues.”
The next meeting for East Orford takes place on Monday November 24 at 6.30pm at the Greenwood Centre, Greenwood Crescent.
A meeting for Howley takes place on Tuesday November 25 at 7pm at The Verve, Mersey Street.
The following day, Wednesday November 26, a Fairfield meeting takes place at 7pm at St Benedicts Social Club, Rhodes Street.
PCSO Harkin added: “We are working closely in partnership with representatives from various agencies in the community. Meetings like this allow us to refer matters on to other agencies if it is more appropriate for them to address the issues.”
Anyone who cannot attend but would like to speak to an officer from the Warrington Central Community Action Team should call 0845 458 6379 or contact [email protected]
