A MAN has appeared before magistrates at Warrington for fly tipping after being captured on CCTV.
Lee Trainer, 37, of White Street, Warrington pleaded guilty to depositing controlled waste and was ordered to do 200 hours community service and pay £300 costs.
The borough council was able to bring the case to court as the offence was caught on CCTV.
After the hearing, Coun Alan Litton, the council’s executive member for environment services said: “The message is clear – fly tipping is illegal and will not be tolerated.
“Not only does it cost the council a considerable amount of money to remove fly tipping, it is also harmful to the environment. Waste should be disposed of or recycled in the correct way and there are now plenty of recycling centres, information and advice about waste disposal so that people have no excuse not to do the right thing.”
