A BY-ELECTION is to take place next month following the deaths of two parish councillors at Penketh.
The election follows the deaths earlier this year of Coun Nancy Spencer, in East Ward and Coun Eileen Dempsey, in West Ward.
Borough council officers have issued a reminder that residents have to be registered to vote in the poll.
But no polling cards will be issued, at the request of Penketh Parish Council.
However, it is possible to arrange to vote by post or by proxy
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm at:
East ward: Mobile station, Neville Crescent; Penketh High School, Heath Road.
West ward: Penketh South Primary School, Finlay Avenue; Community Centre, Honiton Way; The Oaks Centre, Stocks Lane.
Votes will be counted at Warrington Town Hall.
Nominations close on Friday, November 21 and the last day to apply for postal votes is December 3. Last day to apply for a proxy vote is December 10.
More information about the elections are available from Contact Warrington or email [email protected]
