WARRINGTON Wolves’ star Kevin Penny was on hand to help raise around £300 for St Rocco’s Hospice as part of a “Bring a Pound to Work” charity event.
People working at the Genesis Centre, Birchwood, who have just signed up to sponsor Kevin for a second season, were encouraged to bring a pound into work to help raise funds for St Rocco’s.
In return for a donation they went into a draw to win a signed Warrington Wolves’ ball.
Centre Manager Tracy Vickers said: “We have a great relationship with everyone working on the site and it is good to get them all to pull together for charity.
“This is the second year we have sponsored Kevin and it is great to have him involved.”
The Genesis Centre is a business Park at Birchwood providing office accommodation.
