Residents say it's just not cricket!

A CRICKET club has upset its neighbours – by placed three shipping containers on its picturesque ground for the storage of equipment.
Nearby residents have objected to the move by Grappenhall Cricket Club, in Broad Lane, Grappenhall.
An objection has also come from Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council.
Now the club has made a retrospective application for planning consent for the containers, which are sited at the rear of the pavilion.
It will be considered by Warrington’s development control committee next week.
The parish council says the containers represent inappropriate development in the Green Belt and have a detrimental impact on nearby homes.
Neighbours say the containers are unsightly and will become more so as they rust over the years.
They point out the site is close to a conservation area and suggest that an electrical contracting business has been operated from the containers.
But planning officers say the containers are well screened and should be allowed to stay on site temporarily – for five years – so that the council could require them to be moved after 2013 if their appearance had deteriorated.
They point out that building for sport and recreational use can be allowed in the Green Belt.
