Search for the missing blue bins

A SPECIAL collection team started work today (Friday) to retrieve hundreds of “missing” blue bins no longer needed for Warrington’s kerbside recycling programme.
The council team will be touring the borough until Monday (November 3) collecting the old, smaller blue bins.
A council spokeswoman said: “The council is aware that some residents have missed their collection of their old blue paper recycling bin (with SULO printed upon it), as part of the roll out of the new and improved kerbside recycling scheme.
“We are, therefore, arranging for a special collection team to work from today until Monday to collect any outstanding bins.”
Many of the old bins have been left outside houses. Residents who want to make sure they get rid of the old bins should call Contact Warrington on 01925 443322 to report that they still have the old bins and for more information.
