TWO free park-and-ride services to help Christmas shoppers get in and out of Warrington will be launched this Saturday.
Buses will run every eight minutes to and from the town centre to secure car parks on the north and south of the town every Saturday between 9.30am and 6pm until December 27.
The service from the south side of the town will run from Wilderspool Park (former Greenall’s Brewery) in Greenalls Avenue to bus stops at the rear of Warrington Market, Scotland Road and the bus interchange, Stand 1.
The return journey will pick up at the bus interchange, Stand 1, outside the White Hart, Sankey Street, Rylands Street and Bridge Street. The last bus will leave the interchange at 6.01pm.
From the north side of town, the service will run from the Long Lane entrance of Warrington Collegiate’s Winwick Road Campus, departing from in front of the Hilary Tucker centre and going direct to the bus interchange, Stand 1.
The return journey will go direct to the Collegiate, with the last bus at 5.58pm.
There will be plenty of parking spaces at both locations which will be signposted from the highway.
