Flying saucers and alien invaders

A WARRINGTON man has written his second book – a science fiction adventure featuring flying saucers and alien invaders.
The plot marks a big change for Great Sankey’s Eric Brady after his first book, which told of his wartime experiences as a boy.
But he has still drawn on his experiences from boyhood when he used to go exploring in the Yorkshire Dales.
In his new book, two boys also hike the Dales – only to find themselves involved in an inter-stellar war between alien races using the Earth as a place of refuge.
The two boys, aided by a brilliant group of Earth scientists, go to the aid of an alien princess as she tries to evade her pursuers until a rescue fleet can arrive from her far distant home.
Mr Brady said: “The idea of flying saucers and space travel has always fascinated me.
“Given the innumerable stars and planets in our Galaxy let alone in all the others in the Universe, and given the way our science and our space travelling capability has developed even over the past 100 years, who’s to say that what happens in this story isn’t possible?”
