WARRINGTON dancing star George Sampson will today switch on the Christmas lights at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
The 15-year-old, who caused a sensation with his athletic street dancing when he won television’s Britain’s Got Talent competition earlier this year, will be the youngest person ever to perform the switch on ceremony at the Trafford Centre.
George, from Birchwood, will switch on the lights at 7.30pm.
Before that there will be build-up starting at 4.30pm with singer Taio Cruz, X-Factor rejects Same Difference and appearances by Coronation Street’s Fiz and Chesney.
Key 103 radio’s Mike and Chelsea will lead the countdown to the switch-on.
George took home a prize of £100,000 when he won the TV talent title in May.
