Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 7, 10, 11 and 12. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and a £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff. The jackpot will be “rolled over” to next week.

Extension refused
A PLANNING inspector has dismissed an appeal against Warrington Borough Council’s refusal to grant permission for extensions and alterations at Wingfield, off Bank Street, Glazebrook. He ruled that the extensions would be inappropriate in the green belt.

Appeal dismissed
AN appeal by Pizza Express against Warrington Borough Council’s refusal to grant permission for three advertisement signs at their premises in Victoria Square, Stockton Heath has been thrown out by a planning inspector.
