POLICE are investigating a fire involving a motor cycle found a mass of flames last night (Wednesday).
The machine was discovered in Quebec Road, Orford, Warrington.
Fire crews were called to the scene after being alerted by nearby residents but the motor cycle – make unknown – was well alight and was completely burned out.
A hosereel was used to extinguish the flames.
It is believed the machine had been abandoned and set alight although the cause is still being investigated.
A Fire Service spokesman said: “We could not tell what make the bike was, nor what condition it was in before the fire and it looks very much, in the absence of any other possible cause, that the fire was started deliberately.”
There was no damage to adjoining property.
