Poetry and cartoon workshops

GIFTED and talented youngsters from five Warrington high schools are to attend a day of poetry and cartoon workshops.
Aim of the day, at Birchwood High School, on Thursday, October 2, is to produce poems and cartoons about school life which will later be published in book form.
The workshops will be led by poet and television personality Ian McMillan and newspaper cartoonist Tony Husband.
About 100 children from the Warrington area are taking part, from Birchwood, Great Sankey, Culcheth, Cardinal Newman and Sir Thomas Boteler high schools.
