Badminton appeal

A WOMEN’S badminton club which meets every Thursday at Stockton Heath Methodist Church is seeking new members. Anyone interested should call 01925 813262.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 5, 7 and 14. The jackpot prize was unclaimed and will be rolled over until next week. The £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff.

Regimental Sunday
THE annual Regimental Parade to Warrington Parish Church will take place on Sunday October 5. As usual, traffic will be banned in Church Street, between Mersey Street and Manchester Road from, between 10am and 1pm while the parade takes place.

Thriller writer
THRILLER writer Mandasue Heller, who was born in Warrington, will be speaking on her books, how she writes and her life generally at Penketh Library on Thursday, October 2.

CCTV cameras

CULCHETH and Glazebury Parish Council is considering installing CCTV cameras in Common Lane to provide increased security for local businesses. Shopkeepers will be asked if they will support the scheme.
