Red Lane, Appleton, from its junction with Windmill Lane to its junction with Whitefield Road will be closed for temporary periods for up to 12 weeks.
The work will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption to traffic and signs will be displayed when the road is closed.
Phase One will involve the closure of Red Lane from its junction with Windmill Lane to its junction with Warren Road. Phase Two will involve the closure of Red Lane from its junction with Warren Road to its junction with Whitefield Road. Access will be under the control of the contractor for the duration of the works.
Alternative routes will be signposted.
