A STAR studded celebrity football match is set to take place at Warrington Town’s Cantilever Park helping raise funds for two local charities.
Celebrities from Channel 4’s teen soap Hollyoaks have agreed to play a special Warrington Town Select XI led by Craig Phillips, (pictured) C4’s first Big Brother winner.
The Hollyoaks team led by Nick Pickard (Tony), are hoping to raise funds for Warrington Disability Partnership and SPARC, an organisation that assists those with learning difficulties into employment.
Tony Murray, from Warrington Town sponsors Intraining Employability, who is co-ordinating the event, said: “These organisations do so much for those in the community that they are delighted that Nick Pickard and the team are able to accept the challenge from Warrington Town FC, not only because they will raise much needed funds for the charities, but because they are all Hollyoaks fans.”
The ‘special’ Warrington XI team also promises to have a few surprise celebrities of it’s own alongside Craig, as it goes up against the Hollyoaks team, who play regular charity matches up and down the country.
The game will take place on Sunday, October 5, with a 2.30 pm kick off.
Corporate hospitality tickets are available along with standard tickets at £3.00 per adult and just £1.00 for children.
Tickets and further information are available by telephoning 07847 382504 and asking for Hollyoaks Warrington Charity Tickets, or by sending an email to [email protected]
More details can be found on the Hollyoaks website.
