A fund raising dinner to help young people will take place at the Warrington Peace Centre on December 6.
Organised by the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace and supported by local solicitors Forshaws Davies Ridgway, the event promises to be a night to remember and attract over 200 people.
Co-sponsors are M&S Money and Taylor Shaw. Tickets are priced at £25 for a four-course meal, live entertainment and disco.
Wendy Parry, fundraiser and Co founder of the Foundation said: “The Foundation is tackling some of the key issues facing our communities today – violence, discrimination and prejudice. The funds raised from the Christmas Party will help us to continue the delivery and development of our programmes and allow everyone attending the event to put something back into the community.”
Charles Agar, Member at Forshaws Davies Ridgway and a trustee of the Foundation, said the firm had been delighted to become a supporter of the Foundation.
“We are delighted to support the Foundation and particularly to support the Christmas Party. This event like others will be a great night out. It’s a charity with real purpose that practically delivers programmes of reconciliation and educates about the importance of peaceful resolutions of conflict – a message that many of us only consider at Christmas time.”
Guests attending the dinner can bring along their own wines and beers which the organisers hope will be an extra draw.
“The centre isn’t licensed to sell alcohol so people can bring their own which can be a real saving when attending fund raising dinners,” added Wendy.
The Foundation is dedicated to providing conflict resolution programmes and activities that benefit children, young people, adults, schools and communities everywhere.
