Police hunt for convicted rapist

POLICE are hunting a convicted rapist who has gone on the run after being released on licence while
serving a nine year jail term.
John Hinton, aged 43, who has connections in Warrington, was convicted of kidnapping and raping his former partner in 2002 when he was sentenced to nine years in prison.
He was released on licence but failed to return to his last known address on September 11.
With previous convictions for assault and possession of a fire arm police are warning members of the public not to approach Hinton who is described as 6ft 2 and weighing more than seventeen stone. He has dark greying hair and a moustache and tattoos on his arms.
