Warrington Wolves have frozen their season ticket prices for the 2009 engage Super League season.
Despite record breaking season ticket sales “well in excess of 5,000” and a better performance in the league, crowds this season have dropped by an average of nearly 900 per game.
During the 2007 season, when Warrington failed to make the play offs, attendances averaged more than 10,500 but with just one game left, and a guaranteed top six finish, this year’s average is around 9,600.
With the effects of the “credit crunch” squeezing the amount of disposable income the Wolves have decided to have a price freeze for the first time since moving to the Halliwell Jones.
Dave Hutchinson, Director of Commercial Development said: “We are pleased to announce that prices for the new season will be frozen at 2008 prices, and with the great Magic Weekend and Carnegie Challenge Cup offers 2009 season tickets will be even better value for money than ever before.”
