PLANS by Royal Mail to build a new centre in Warrington, as part of a £51 million investment in the North West, have been welcomed.
Warrington North MP Helen Jones welcomed the company’s plans which include provision of a new distribution centre for bulk mail in the town.
She said: “I met with senior Royal Mail representatives earlier this summer to encourage them to relocate to the town when it became clear that Warrington was a possible option for their new centre.
“I am pleased that a move to the town is part of their preferred option.”
The development is expected to take place next year.
