Soccer match in memory of Jack

A CHARITY soccer match takes place tomorrow (Saturday) – in memory of a schoolboy who died tragically last year.
Members of Culcheth Athletic Football Club are holding the event at Culcheth Sports Club in memory of Jack McWilliam, a 13-year-old member of the club.
Main event will be a match between Culcheth Athletic coaches and Wigan Athletic coaches – a team which could well boast a few ex-professionals. Kick-off is at 12 noon.
Jack’s father, Neil, who is one of Culcheth’s coaches, will be playing in the match.
But there will be a wide range of other activities including a beat the goalie contest, crossbar challenge, barbecue, face painting, bouncy castle and stalls.
Money raised will go to the Bolton Wanderers’ Football in the Community charity.
Culcheth Athletic, which kicks of a new season on their super new pitches in Warrington Road, Risley, on September 6, caters for more than 320 young soccer enthusiasts and runs teams for Under Sixes and every age up to Under 17s.
