NEARLY 100 golfers will tee off tomorrow (Friday) for a tournament to raise money for grass roots rugby in Warrington.
The tournament at Lymm Golf Club will involve 24 teams of local players.
Organisers already believe they will raise more than £5,000 – and are hoping for more.
Tournament co-ordinator Paul McEwan said: “We are just hoping for fine weather. It should be a wonderful day.”
The event is in aid of Lymm Rugby Union Club’s “Grass Roots” appeal which is raising money to development additional sports pitches
Sponsored by HBOS, the tournament will be launched by Ian Hossock, a member of both the rugby club and the tennis club.
