TWO men brandishing knives forced their way into a 60-year-old man’s home at Warrington, pushed him to the floor and stole personal possessions.
The 10.30pm raid was in Hilden Road, Padgate and police are appealing for help from anyone who may have seen the incident.
Both men had local accents and fled the scene in a blue, old-style Transit van.
The offenders struck when the man answered a knock on the door at his flat. They pushed their way in, forced him to the floor and stole a number of personal possessions.
Both men were in their early 20s and were wielding kitchen knives with four inch blades.
One was about 5ft 8 inches tall, pale and slim with dark hair pushed forward and was wearing a dark coloured top and dark trousers.
The second offender was about 6ft 3 inches tall, of slim build with a pale complexion. He was wearing a grey, hooded top with the hood over his face and tracksuit bottoms.
Police said the occupier was unhurt but badly shaken by the incident.
