A WARRINGTON artist is putting her work on show as part of the Cheshire Open Studios initiative – and that means opening her home to the public.
Justine Griffiths, from Fairfield Road, Stockton Heath works from home so when she opens her studio on September 13-14 she can expect an influx of art lovers from all over the county.
Justine’s day job is as an art teacher at a Widnes college.
But she regularly exhibits her work at venues all over the country and has recently had items on show in London, Bath and in Wales.
The Cheshire Open Studios initiative involves 52 contemporary artists who open their studios on four weekends.
Justine describes herself as a mixed media artist and combines painting, photography, textiles and other media in her work.
She said: “I took part in the Open Studios initiative last year and had about 30 people visit my studio. This year I am hoping for more.
“Some of the work is for sale, but not all of.
“Visitors will also have a chance to discuss my work and she how I work.”
Justin’s studio will be open between 10am and 5pm.
She plans to hold another “open day” on December 6-7.
